Dear readers, dear authors,

the editorial board has decided to adopt a different concept for publishing from this calendar year. Until now, the journal has been published regularly twice a year, always in April and November. The fixed time when the journal is published is justified for printed versions. Starting this year, we will not publish two issues at a fixed time, but we will publish all contributions, including studies, immediately after the review and editorial process has been completed. This concept uses the advantage of the online version of the journal, which is the possibility of immediate publication without the need to wait for publication at regular intervals. We believe that this method of publishing will be pleasant for both authors and readers.

The journal continues to accept studies, essays, reports, information, interviews, etc. that support the development of social education and the socio-pedagogical community.

Dear readers, we would like to inform you that for the April issue of this year, there was not enough interesting and stimulating papers, and therefore we decided to do not publish April issue. These papers that have been accepted for publication in other sections than in the “STUDY” section will be published within autumn issue. Once there is interest, we will be happy to start publishing both issues annually.

Not only the April issue of 2020 connects social education with international education. This trend and a very interesting connection is also brought by the new book: Social Justice and International Education by the Association of International Educators (NAFSA). We are happy to introduce the second issue of the seventh volume of the Social Education journal for the year 2019.

The November issue features a theme that resonates with Czech society, not only with experts in the field, but also with the general population – Inclusion as a challenge of the times.

We are happy to introduce the first issue of the seventh volume of the Social Education journal for the year 2019. As always, the editors welcomed all topics from the field of social education and related social sciences. A large number of papers were submitted for publication in this issue. The editors are very pleased with the interest of Czech and international authors and vow to keep the level of quality of the published papers high. Choosing which papers to include in this issue was a very difficult task, which eventually culminated in the publication of three most remarkable studies, reviews, interview, information and section introduced Social Education in Slovakia.

We wish to thank all the editorial board members, authors and reviewers for their hard work that brought this issue to reality!
